More than a dozen heroin overdoses reported in Pulaski Co. in 10 days

More than a dozen heroin overdoses were reported in Pulaski County in a 10 day period starting August 17.

The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office said three deaths in Richland and Waynesville were likely caused by heroin during this time frame.

Multiple agencies formed a small team to locate possible sources of the deadly heroin throughout the county.

Authorities arrested several people from Pulaski County and Chicago as a result of the search.

Six people were arrested:

33-year-old Jessica Hunter is charged with distribution of a controlled substance with a $1 million bond 30-year-old Michael Beauchamp is chargedfor distribution of a controlled substance with a $500,000 bond. 35-year-old Derrick Crenshaw is charged with distribution of a controlled substance near a school with a $500,000 bond. 30-year-old Rachael Yracheta was arrested for outstanding theft warrants, forgery, and possession of a controlled substance with a combined $15,000 bond. 37-year-old Amanda Hayes is charged withdistribution of a controlled substance with a $250,000 bond. 33-year-old Latisha Cocroft is charged with distribution of a controlled substance with no bond.

The Pulaski Co. Sheriff said more charges and arrests are possible in the investigation.
