Traffic Alert: Road closures during MU home football games

Road closures will take effect starting this Saturday and during every MU home football game in Columbia.

Columbia Police will close part of Old Route K at the west Outer Road of Providence Rd. during all Mizzou home football games.

The closure starts just south of the bridge past the drive to the MU tennis courts on Old Route K to the north drive of the Providence Hill Apartments.

The closure will start 3 hours before game time through the duration of the game.

The closure is meant to stop illegal parking which can make it hard for emergency vehicles to get through.

At the start of the 4th quarter of each game until traffic has cleared, westbound traffic on Walnut to 4th St. to Providence will be closed to through traffic.

Eastbound traffic will also be restricted on Walnut from 2nd St. to Providence to through traffic.

From the start of 4th quarter, westbound traffic on Ash from 4th to Providence will be closed until game traffic has cleared.

Eastbound traffic on Ash from 1st to Providence will also be closed.
