Man arrested for resisting arrest, stealing fom Walmart
A Columbia man was arrested Tuesday night after police saw him being chased through the parking lot of the Grindstone Pkwy. Walmart.
Walmart loss prevention employees chased Matthew Newcom through the parking lot after he apparently stole DVDs and video games.
Newcom put the items in his pants and walked past registers without paying for them, according to police.
He was arrested for resisting or interfering with an arrest and stealing.
