Toddler in hospital after getting shot in the arm
Saturday, a 3 year-old boy is in the hospital after getting shot in Boone County.
The Boone County sheriff’s department confirms it happened in a relative’s house in the 6100 block of Eric Lane, north of Columbia around 5:15 p.m.
A witness says the child found a pistol in a bedroom and shot himself in the right arm. He was taken by a private vehicle to Women’s and Children’s Hospital.
His condition is unknown, and the shooting remains under investigation. No arrests have been made.
