Student recovering after heat illness during football camp
A student is recovering Monday night after suffering a heat-related illness during football camp.
It happened at around 11:00 Monday during football camp at the School of the Osage High School in Osage Beach.
The student told his coaches he felt hot, and was taken to a cool area to be monitored by the coaching staff.
His symptoms didn’t improve enough, so the coaches ultimately decided to call an ambulance.
His condition is unclear as of 8:00 Monday night.
