Man sentenced to three years for tampering with evidence
A man who admitted to tampering with physical evidence was sentenced to three years in prison Monday.
Patrick Curl was one of two people charged in connection to the disappearance of Charlie Bell.
Bell went missing in 2011.
Investigators suspect foul play, but were never able to find proof Bell is dead.
Boone County deputies arrested Curl and Jennifer Freeman in July 2014.
Deputies drained a pond off Route EE looking for evidence at the end of last July.
Court documents allege Curl, along with two others, hid Bell’s license plates on his motorcycle. Bell was last seen driving his motorcycle outside of Harrisburg.
Curl pleaded guilty to the tampering charge last month.
