Flood gates still open at Bagnell Dam
Flood gates are still open at the Bagnell Dam at the Lake of the Ozarks following heavy rain and flooding over the past week.
ABC 17 News confirmed with Ameren Tuesday the flood gates will be open for at least one more week, and possibly up to two.
The Lake of the Ozarks is currently at 659.1 feet, which is right at recreational pool level.
Ameren said the Bagnell Dam will have to release water to match the flow of ongoing releases at the Truman Dam in southwest Mid-Missouri.
Ameren told ABC 17 is coordinating with the Army Corps of Engineers to keep an eye on water levels across the state.
