Tracking thunderstorm chances Wednesday and Thursday

TODAY: Wednesday is warm, with highs in the upper 80s feeling like the 90s in high humidity. After a cooler-than-expected feeling day on Tuesday, extreme heat and heat indexes in the 100+ range are no longer forecast for most. Severe storms are possible from the afternoon into the evening, so today remains an ABC17 Stormtrack Weather alert day; for the latest, read our online blog.

TONIGHT: Storms will clear and leave us around midnight. Temperatures remain warm, in the 70s overnight.

EXTENDED: Another round of storms brings a threat of severe weather on Thursday afternoon, into Thursday evening, making Thursday another ABC17 Stormtrack Weather Alert Day. Highs are expected in the upper 80s, with feels-like temperatures in the 90s. Drier weather is forecast Friday, along with lower humidity. More rain and thunderstorm chances are present over the weekend, before we cool into the 70s next week.
