Road work, repairs continue in Columbia

There are several repairs happening on south Columbia roads this week.

On Monday, contractors with the city started fixing concrete off Nifong.

That’s closing down lanes near Forum, but it should wrap up by Friday.

Next Monday, sidewalk work is beginning on Chapel Hill around Fairview Road, and it’s expected to last about one week.

Sidewalk improvements are also underway for several streets affecting Green Meadows, Bearfield, and Grindstone.

Those repairs will cost more than $130,000.
