Columbia police investigating three shootings overnight

Columbia police are investigating a shooting in Central Columbia overnight on Tuesday where 15 shell casings were found in the 200 block of Fourth Avenue.

Just before 2:30 a.m., police were called to the intersection of Providence and Worley for a report of shots fired in the area.

According to police, several black males were observed running from the area prior to police arriving.

Officers say no injuries have been reported so far and the investigation is ongoing.

We currently have no information indicating whether or not this shooting is related to the shooting on Clark Lane and Hickam Drive Monday night.

Before this shooting, police were called to two more reports of shots fired overnight.

One incident involved a 22-year-old man getting shot in the upper torso. He is in serious condition.

Police were dispatched to a local emergency room after being alerted to a gunshot victim who arrived in a personal vehicle.

Investigators are working to get gather details on this incident. As of right now the information is incomplete.
