Callaway Co. man charged with rape, sodomy of teenage girl

A Tebbetts man is charged with two counts of statutory rape, and one count of statutory sodomy after sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl while she was asleep.

According to court documents, 34-year-old George “Will” Ferguson was at a pool tournament at the Mokane Bar with a 16-year-old girl in September 2014.

The girl told investigators she was extremely intoxicated after having multiple drinks and ended up going home Ferguson.

She said she passed out and was laying on Ferguson’s bed when she woke up to find him on top of her and was unable to move.

The girl said the next morning Ferguson admitted to her that he did rape her.

In March 2015, investigators interviewed Ferguson, who at first said he had consensual intercourse with the girl after she turned 17.

The probable cause statement said Ferguson later admitted to knowingly having sex with the girl when she was only 16, and knew he had to wait until she was of age for it to be legal, but he couldn’t wait.

Callaway County deputies interviewed the girl for a second time, and she said Ferguson had sex with her twice while she was 16. The girl said Ferguson gave her alcohol on both occasions and she was extremely drunk each time. She said Ferguson took her to his Tebbetts home after each incident.
