Power restored to most following Thursday storms

Most people who lost power in Mid-Missouri Thursday night have service back. As of 10:15 a.m. a few hundred people in all were still without power.

Ameren reported 2,862 Randolph County residents lost service during the peak of the storms. It covered the cities of Moberly, Cairo, Huntsville and Clifton Hill.

According to Columbia Water and Light, over 2,000 customers lost electricity near the mall, Scott Boulevard, Forum and West Broadway.

Emergency officials also reported homes damaged and trees blown across Highway Z west of Cairo and Highway DD north west of Moberly around 7:20 p.m.

The Boone County Public Safety Joint Communications reported Thursday night that Oak Street was closed at Hicks Drive, north of Worley Street, due to downed power lines.
