Former bail bondsman pleads guilty to being drunk in courthouse

A former bail bondsman pleaded guilty in Callaway County Court Monday to being drunk in a courthouse and unlawful use of a weapon.

37-year-old Joel Pautz of Fulton admitted that he brought a pistol concealed in a briefcase into the Callaway County Courthouse in June 2014.

He also told investigators that he was intoxicated at the time.

Pautz was sentenced to 3 years in prison for the weapon charge, but the sentence was suspended and he was placed on 5 years supervised probation.
