Car chase ends near Hickman High School

A chase that started in central Columbia ended in a crash near Hickman High School.

Police reported seeing a stolen car a few blocks from the school late Wednesday, and ended up chasing the car. The chase ended in a crash near the school’s football field, causing minor damage to a fence and fire hydrant.

One person in the car, a juvenile, was taken to a hospital as a precaution. Another was taken into custody.

Police aren’t sure how many people were in the car, so it’s unclear if anyone is still on the run.
