Downtown Shakespeare’s Pizza demolished

Demolition work at the Shakespeare’s Pizza in downtown Columbia wrapped up Wednesday afternoon.

The building is being torn down to make room for a new building that will house Shakespeare’s Pizza, apartments and office space. That building is expected to be finished by August 2016.

For now, Shakespeare’s Pizza is operating out of a temporary location one block over off Eighth Street in the former BB2 or Tin Can location, and before that, Los Bandidos.

The other Shakespeare’s restaurants in west and south Columbia are operating normally as well.
