Arrest made in March shooting in Columbia

A Columbia man was arrested Tuesday afternoon in connection with a March shooting on Lawnridge Court.

33-year-old Ronell Clark and a man were in a fight when Clark hit the man several times in the 2900 block of Lawnridge Court on March 29.

Clark went into a nearby home, and the victim along with a woman and child got into a car following the argument.

Clark came out of the house and fired a shot toward the three victims, and fled the scene before officers arrived.

The male victim had injuries relating to the fight, but was not injured by the gunshot.

On Tuesday, officers were patrolling Lawnridge Court and saw someone matching the description of Clark and set up a perimeter in the area.

Clark was arrested for 3 counts of 2nd degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon, endangering the welfare of a child, and third degree assault.
