Bridge work to close one lane of I-70 at Blackwater River
Bridge work on I-70 could cause delays in Saline County starting Monday.
The work is underway along the westbound I-70 corridor from the Blackwater River bridges in Saline Co. to the Cooper Co. line near mile marker 77.
On Monday, crews will close one lane headed eastbound as well as continue work on the westbound bridge.
That work will reduce I-70 to one lane in each direction at the Blackwater River just west of the Route 65 interchange.
The work will be done during the day, and drivers should expect delays and heavy congestion on Friday and Sunday afternoons.
The westbound bridge is expected to be complete by mid-August, and the eastbound bridge by mid-October.
