Shots fired overnight on Quail Drive

Around 10:30 p.m., Columbia police responded to a shots fired call in the 2600 hundred block of Quail Drive in northern Columbia.

Police say a man approached a home saying he needed to talk with another man inside.

The people inside the home said they didn’t know who he was talking about. The culprit then got in a car and fired several shots from the vehicle.

The tire of a vehicle in the area was hit by a bullet and officers found several shell casings.

The shooter is described as a black male with dreadlocks and a thin build.

There were no confirmed injury reports from the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
