Man arrested for last month’s trailer park shooting
A suspect was arrested in Columbia over the weekend, accused of shooting one man in the stomach last month.
Officers originally stopped Anthony Hayes, Jr., 33, for having heavily tinted windows and not having a properly displayed front license plate.
His license was also revoked, and police found a rock of cocaine inside the car.
After getting to the station, Hayes was also arrested for the shots fired at Colonial Village Trailer Park on May 11. The victim was visiting relatives on North Rangeline when he got into a dark colored SUV with two men, who then took his money.
After leaving the vehicle, the man realized he had been shot and then called 911. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.
