Troopers investigate drowning on Osage River
Highway Patrol troopers say a 75-year-old man is dead after drowning on the Osage River.
The incident happened Wednesday evening in Miller County near Chaney Drive.
Investigators say Larry Pennington of Kansas City was in a boat moving gear around when he lost his balance and fell over board. Another boater recovered him, but Pennington was pronounced dead at a hospital.
