Double murder suspect James Horn Jr. shot and killed

Henry County sheriff’s deputies confirmed a double murder suspect was shot and killed Saturday afternoonin the Kearn Memorial Wildlife Conservation Area in Johnson County.

Clinton police Lt. Sonny Lynch said a search team, acting on a tip, went into a home about 11:15 a.m.

Horn was suspected of killing his ex-girlfiend, Sandra Sutton, and her son Zachary Sutton in Clinton, Missouri, on Thursday.

Police had been searching for Horn since early May when SandraSutton told police she escaped from a wooden box whereHorn held her captive for four months.

No deputies were injured in the fatal encounter with Horn.
