Man accused in Columbia triple shooting arrested

A Columbia man accused in a triple shooting last week on Forest Avenue was arrested in Wisconsin.

20-year-old Elijah Fox-Brown is accused of shooting and injuring three people on Forest Avenue on May 13. Two were shot in the leg and one shot in both the arm and leg.

Dozens of law enforcement officers blocked off a multiple-block area to look for a suspect or suspects.

According to court documents, witnesses saw a man in a black t-shirt and black and gray camoflauge shorts shoot the men and run away, getting into a white Dodge Charger.

A few minutes later and less than a mile away, neighbors told police the Charger stopped on Sanford Avenue. The suspected shooter ran north on the street and another man ran into a house carrying a black bag.

Police searched that house and found the black bag…with two guns inside. Then they searched the house the suspected shooter was seen running to. It was Fox-Brown’s grandmother’s house. She let police search the bedroom he went into and they found black and grey camoflauge shorts. She told police her son had tried to get Fox-Brown to turn himself in, but he refused.

Fox-Brown is charged with 3 counts of unlawful use of a weapon, and one count of armed criminal action.

Fox-Brown was arrested for possession of marijuana on Saturday in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

Fox-Brown is being held at the Kenosha County, Wi. Jail on $251,500 bond.
