Camden Co. assault suspect caught in South Carolina

A wanted fugitive has been caught in South Carolina after an assault involving a baseball bat near the Lake of the Ozarks in 2009.

James Lee Miller Jr. is accused of attacking his niece’s boyfriend with a bat in August of 2009, in the 5800 block of Old Route Five in Camdenton.

Miller failed to show up for his trial in 2011 and has been on the run since that time.

Last Tuesday, he was found in Horry County, S.C.

The Camden Co. Sheriff’s office, FBI and Myrtle Beach police were also involved.
