Police investigating armed home invasion in Central Columbia

Monday before 4 a.m., Columbia police were called to Amelia Street for an armed home invasion.

The investigation revealed three unidentified black males who entered the apartment through an unlocked back door.

Two men, ages 22 and 21, and one woman, age 20, were inside and not injured. The culprits demanded money before running away.

CPD is still looking for the three intruders. The only description of the thieves are three black males in their late teens to early twenties. All three men had their faces covered and one had a handgun.

There have been no arrests made and the investigation is ongoing.
