Jefferson City Council to discuss trash services

The Jefferson City Council is set to meet Monday night to discuss trash services in the city limits.

The council could vote to direct staff to finalize the RFP for trash services.

Jefferson City Administrator Steve Crowell told ABC 17 a motion will likely be made, and he anticipates a long discussion.

The council will vote on a bill to authorize a nearly $150,000 contract for a stormwater project on Don Ray Drive, and a bill to enact an Amtrak passenger loading zone on Jefferson St.

Several Jefferson City police officers and firefighters will be recognized for their efforts in and out of the line of duty.
