A soggy morning commute Thursday, spotty storms late

A warm front will move in from the southwest and spread light to moderate rain over Mid-Missouri, starting as early as 10 PM Thursday at the Lake of the Ozarks, spreading northeast to Columbia and Jefferson City by 1 AM.

Rain is likely for the morning commute from 6-8 AM but will shift east of HWY 63 by 10 AM and out of Mid-Missouri by early afternoon. During the afternoon, spotty showers and a few t-storms are possible but will be very hit and miss. If storms develop, they are not expected to become severe.

Most areas will pick up a quarter to a half inch of rain through 10 pm Thursday but higher amounts of a half inch to an inch are possible west of HWY 63.
