Unemployment benefits could get cut in Missouri

People without a job in Missouri could get their unemployment benefits cut.

On Tuesday, the Missouri House just voted to override Governor Nixon’s veto.

That decision means benefits will be scaled back if the Senate approves the changes.

Depending on the state’s jobless rate, the current aid could be reduced from 20 weeks to 13.

Only Florida and North Carolina have lower minimums.
