Auxvasse man sentenced for selling heroin to undercover officer

An Auxvasse man Tuesday was sentenced to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to selling heroin to an undercover police officer twice.

Christopher Appleton admitted to the crimes that happened back in 2012.

Appleton was caught in an undercover investigation by the MUSTANG Drug Task Force, Callaway, and Cole County deputies.

He was sentenced to 5 years in prison for each charge, as well as 5 years or supervised probation.
