Fulton man leads police on two high-speed car chases in six months

Saturday, a man is in jail after leading multiple law enforcement agencies on a car chase through parts of Mid-Missouri.

Fulton police arrested Clayton Craddock, 30, around 11:00 Friday night. Police officers tried to pull over Craddock for several traffic violations near State Road HH and Atkinson Road, but Craddock would not stop his car. Fulton police, Callaway County deputies and Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers were all involved in the high-speed chase.

After stopping Craddock, police found marijuana and other items in the vehicle. Police arrested Craddock for resisting arrest, possession of a controlled substance, driving while intoxicated and more.

And it is not the first time. Last October, a deputy tried pulling Craddock over for speeding, and he led the deputy on a pursuit reaching speeds of more than 90 miles per hour. Craddock then got out of the car and led the deputy on a foot chase. When the deputy caught up to him and tried to arrest him, Craddock reportedly tried to gouge the deputy’s eyes with his fingers.

Currently, Craddock is in the Callaway County Jail on a $65,000 bond.
