Anthony Underwood arrested in Centralia
At about 6 p.m. Tuesday , Anthony Underwood, 23, from Centralia was arrested after causing an accident on state highway 22.
Centralia police chief Larry Dudgeon tells ABC 17 News Underwood failed to stay in his lane in his pickup truck and hit a tractor-trailer.
Underwood tried to drive away but his truck was too damaged, and an officer arrived at the scene shortly after it happened.
No one was hurt. After the accident police found drugs and a firearm in the car and on Underwood.
He now faces charges of failing to stay in his own lane, leaving the scene, DWI, unlawful use of a weapon, armed criminal action and three drug-related charges.
Underwood is being held in the Boone County Jail.
