Convicted Morgan Co. murderer: “I didn’t know what I was doing”
The man who admitted to his role in killing a Morgan County couple learned his punishment in LaClede County court Monday.
In March, Ronald Blowers pleaded guilty to killing Wayne and Mabel Wells after breaking into their Ivy Bend home in 2012.
Blowers was sentenced to two consecutive life sentences plus 115 years in prison for their deaths.
The victims’ family spoke at the sentencing, and Blowers also got on the stand.
Blowers told the court Tuesday he was high on a “different type” of meth at the time of the murders, and said he didn’t know he was doing.
Blowers had been paroled from prison just days before the murders happened.
