Holts Summit man accused of stealing packages arrested for burglary

The Holts Summit man accused of stealing mail and packages from doorsteps in November was arrested by Callaway deputies Monday.

43-year-old John Jaegers allegedly burglarized a home in the 12000 block of Callaway County Road 4037 on November 21, and caused extensive damage at the home.

Investigators arrested Jaegers for burglary, property damage, and stealing.

Jaegers was identified on surveillance video by a homeowner who had packages taken from their doorstep in Holts Summit.

The victim told ABC 17 she shared the surveillance video on her Facebook page, which eventually led to Jaegers being identified as the suspect.

Jaegers was placed on 5 years probation in Cole County for that theft.
