Unsettled weather this week

A strong southerly flow will continue to bring in warmer air for the coming week, pushing highs into the low 80s throughout the work week. This flow will also bring in more moisture from the gulf, which will help to increase the chance for showers and thunderstorms through the week.

A few spotty showers or a stray thunderstorm will be possible Monday, mainly north of I-70. This will come as a cold front approaches the state. The front will stall out to the north of Missouri though. As the front hovers to our north, small rain and storm chances will continue through the middle of the week. Then by Thursday the system will start to move in, with the front pushing into Missouri by next weekend. This will bring greater rain and storm chances to Missouri near the end of the week.

Warm temperatures and unsettled weather can be expected through the work week and even into next weekend.
