Downtown parking garage to close for cleaning

A downtown Columbia parking garage will soon close for cleaning.

Columbia Public Works will conduct a deep cleaning of the 8th and Cherry Street parking garage on Sunday.

The Department is asking those who park there to move their vehicles by 10:00 Sunday morning.

Those with a parking pass for that garage will be allowed to park in other city garages or at metered parking spots for free.

The work is expected to be completed by 11:00 Sunday night.
