Three arrested in Columbia for meth
Three people were arrested Monday night after officers stopped a car on Rangeline Street.
Officers ran the plates and traced the car back to Nicholas Hunt, who had an active felony warrant. A K-9 unit alerted officers to drugs in the vehicle.
When officers searched the car, they found 3 used syringes, a scale, package of plastic baggies, a box with 15 baggies of marijuana, and a glass pipe with marijuana residue.
Officers also found a baggie of meth in Hunt’s wallet.

Another passenger, Christy Cummings, was also arrested after she tried to hide something with a seat cover. Officers found a glass pipe with meth residue on it.
Cummings was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and a misdemeanor warrant for not having a driver’s license. Her bond was set at $1500 for both offenses.
Hunt was arrested for distribution of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and a felony warrant for unlawful use of a weapon. His total bond added up to $27,000.
