One dead after crash in Cole County
A crash on Highway 54 in Cole County killed one person and injured two others Sunday.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a Mercedes was stopped for unknown reasons in the passing lane of the highway near Sandy Fork Road. A second car hit the first in the rear.
The driver of the first car, Alexander Klimenko, died at the scene; the passenger in that car and the driver of the second car both got serious injuries. Klimenko, 80, was from St. Louis.
