Updated Severe Threat for Saturday
It looks unlikely that Mid-Missouri will have severe weather Saturday. The newest Threat Tracker shows the slight severe risk across far eastern Missouri and into Illinois. A surface low pressure area and trailing cold front will move across Mid-Missouri from Saturday morning through mid-afternoon. This will cause scattered showers and t-storms to continue much of the day. However, the chance of the storms becoming severe has decreased with the risk mainly in eastern Missouri. A few strong storms are possible mainly south of HWY 54 with gusty winds and small hail but widespread strong or severe storms are not expected.
