Work progresses on multi-million dollar administration building in Randolph Co.
Work is moving forward on a multi-million dollar administration building in Randolph County.
Officials broke ground on the more than $6 million dollar building that will be funded through a voter approved 1/4 cent sales tax.
County offices have been split up between Moberly and Huntstville since a fire in the county courthouse in 1955.
Presiding County Commissioner John Truesdale hopes the project will improve efficiency.
“This new courthouse is going to be a great step, something badly needed, something that the people in the county definitely saw that we needed. We’re very happy for that opportunity,” said Truesdale.
Officials hope to have the building finished by May 2016.
