Loan store robbed in Columbia Monday

Police responded to the scene of an armed robbery Monday night at a loan store near the I-70/Highway 63 connector in Columbia.

Officers responded around 7 p.m. to Tower Loan inside the shopping center near Home Depot.

Emergency personnel initially took reports about an employee who was locked in the back of the shop.

Police dogs were called to the area to help search for the suspect.
