Columbia man sentenced for child pornography
A Columbia man was sentenced to 5 years in state prison for child pornography.
30-year-old Jonathan Hillyard was arrested on October 29, 2014 following an investigation that began in mid-September 2014.
The Boone County Cyber Crimes Task Force got a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
The Center reported someone in the Columbia area was using an e-mail account to access child porn.
Investigators traced the email to Hillyard, and found child pornography images on his email account.
Detectives took several computers from Hillyard’s home and arrested him there.
