Police investigate two shootings in three days in neighborhood

Columbia police are investigating after a shooting in North Columbia.

Around 11:24 p.m. Wednesday, officers were dispatched to the 2700 block of Quail Drive for a report of shots fired.

Investigators say multiple shots were fired near the parking lot of 2701 Quail Drive. At least one bullet struck the bathroom window of an apartment.

Police say they are not releasing any suspect information at this time and that the investigation is ongoing.

On Sunday just after 11:30 p.m. police responded to a shooting in the 2700 block of Quail Drive.

Police have not said if the two shootings are connected.

On Sunday’s shooting the resident reported shots fired into their window and through the ceiling.

No one was hurt in either shooting.
