Morgan Co. man held without bond for threatening to kill President Obama

A Morgan County man is being held in federal custody without bond for threatening to kill President Obama.

24-year-old Cameron Stout of Stover was federally charged with making multiple threats against Obama.

Stout’s case will go to a federal grand jury in Jefferson City.

A confidential informant on Friday told a Morgan County Sheriff’s deputy Stout had asked him for a rifle on Thursday and for his help shooting the president in the next few weeks.

According to court documents, the informant first met Stout while he was fishing with another person near the informant’s property on Thursday. Stout or his friend made a rude hand gesture at the informant, which led to a confrontation.

The three then calmed down, and ended up going to the informant’s house for dinner.

The informant is a former Aryan Nation member who said Stout was serious in his threats.

The informant told the deputy that Stout said he didn’t have a high-powered rifle and needed to get one.

The informant told Stout he could put him in contact with a high-ranking member of Aryan Nation to help him get a rifle.

That night, the informant’s girlfriend recorded their conversation.

Stout was recorded saying, “I don’t wanna annihilate anybody, I wanna f*****’ change America. If you had contact with the people that you say you had contact with, I could kill the President of the United States, and then we could storm Washington, and then we take over the country that our forefathers created.”

Stout and the informant were working on ATVs Saturday when Stout drew two diagrams of Washington D.C. and the locations he picked out to shoot from, including at the White House and the church President Obama attends.

The night before, the informant’s girlfriend recorded Stout saying, “I got the s*** mapped out, and I know that it can happen and I know that I can get away with it, but I know that it needs to be executed in a certain way.”

The informant gave these diagrams to law enforcement.

Stout then told the informant he has a .27 caliber rifle with a high-powered scope that he planned to use to kill President Obama.

On Monday, the informant went to Stout’s house and met him again later. They talked about Stout’s plan to shoot the president and made arrangements for Stout to meet the informant’s superior in the Aryan Nation.

Stout and the informant met on Monday with an undercover officer who was posing as the Aryan Nation supervisor.

Stout said his plan was to set up at Crown Center in Kansas City and shoot the president the next time he came to Kansas City.

Stout wanted the officer to take him to and from Kansas City, and said he could shoot accurately up to 200 yards away.

The officer asked Stout outright if it was his plan to shoot the president, to which Stout replied, “yes.”

Soute said he had done research for his plan on his home computer.

Stout is currently in federal custody.
