Columbia man threatens to hurt judge and her husband

A Columbia man is in the Boone County Jail Wednesday after threatening to harm a judge and her husband.

54-year-old Frank Jindra called and threatened to shoot Judge Leslie Schneider because she didn’t grant him a restraining order.

Jindra called Schneider’s office Tuesday saying he was armed with a rifle and the judge would be on the evening news.

Schneider’s office called the Boone County Sheriff’s Department about the concerning phone call, wanting deputies to investigate.

Deputies went to Jindra’s house, where he answered the door with a rifle in hand.

Jindra agreed to put the gun down and deputies were able to arrest him.

Jindra showed up at the ABC 17 News studio Tuesday wanting to talk to management, but he was turned away.

Jindra is at the Boone County Jail on a $500,000 cash only bond.
