Man arrested after admitting to starting fire at Sigma Nu fraternity

A Columbia man was arrested Monday after admitting to starting a December fire at an MU fraternity house.

23-year-old Zachary Crase responded to the Columbia Police Department for an interview, where he admitted to starting a fire in a utility room at the Sigma Nu fraternity house on College Avenue on December 20.

A small amount of trash was burned, and a small part of the wall in the utility room was damaged. Damage was estimated at around $500.

Crase was arrested for reckless burning with a bond of $500.
