Brief light snow possible Tuesday

A quick moving wave of low pressure aloft will ride along an arctic cold front moving in early Tuesday morning. This wave will bring a chance of brief light snow mainly to west and southwestern Missouri, clipping parts of Mid-Missouri. The snow will move into the Kansas City area for the morning commute and quickly travel to the southeast through early afternoon.

Most of Mid-Missouri will only see flurries or brief light snow with no accumulation but parts of the Lakes of the Ozarks could get a dusting of snow by early afternoon Tuesday. Another batch of light snow is forecast to move through Mid-Missouri quickly Tuesday evening with little to no accumulation as much colder air moves in.
