Two arrested for drug trafficking in Jefferson City

Two people were arrested Friday after the Jefferson City Police and MUSTANG Drug Task Force searched a home at 2305 Southridge Drive.

Police found 10 ounces of cocaine, 2 ounces of crack cocaine, one ounce of heroin, drug money, and items related to drug distribution.

Authorities had been investigating the two for a long time.

One suspect has a long history of drug trafficking, according to police.

Both suspects are in the Cole County Jail pending 1st degree drug trafficking and felony drug charges.
