Suspect released following Sedalia shooting

A man accused of shooting another man Thursday afternoon during a business robbery in Sedalia is now back on the streets.

The gunman, Timothy Peck, initially escaped, but was eventually arrested on multiple charges including robbery, assault, stealing, and armed criminal action following a business robbery on the corner of Ohio Avenue and Main Street in Sedalia.

Officers responded to a gunshot victim at 108 S. Ohio Avenue.

Wesley Brown was initially taken by ambulance to Bothwell Regional Health Center. He was later transferred to University Hospital in Columbia, where he remained in critical condition but stable Thursday night.
