Colder Tuesday, warming late this week

Northerly winds will send colder air in to Mid-Missouri Tuesday keeping our daytime highs only in the 30s with morning clouds. Another wave of low pressure will move in from the northwest Wednesday bringing more clouds and chilly air.

The jet stream will start to shift to the north Thursday, keeping the storm track and colder air to our north through Saturday. A ridge of high pressure aloft will build over the central states Friday through Saturday causing temperatures to rise as southerly surface winds carry warmer air in from the south. This mild weather pattern will last through Sunday. A storm system will move to our south late Sunday through Tuesday bringing a chance of rain and cooler air early next week.
