Friday rainfall totals

Rain moved in by Friday morning and continued throughout the day. All of Mid-Missouri reached over half an inch of rain. Most areas received around an inch, with the highest amounts south of I-70.

Columbia broke a record for the most rainfall on December 5th. The previous record was set in 1936 at .94″ of rainfall. Columbia officially picked up 1.22″ of rainfall Friday. This brings our rainfall total for the year in Columbia to 43.17 inches, just above our average of 40.73 inches.
