Changing temperatures and wintry precipitation this week
Temperatures will start warming up Tuesday and Wednesday reaching the low to mid 40s in the afternoon under partly cloudy skies. A wave of low pressure will move across Missouri Wednesday night into Thursday bringing Pacific moisture into the region at the same time temperatures drop below freezing.
Light freezing rain or sleet is possible late Wednesday night into Thursday morning which could cause roads to be slick for the morning commute. Temperatures will climb above the freezing mark by noon Thursday and freezing rain will turn to rain and end.
Warmer weather returns for the weekend with temperatures climbing into the upper 40s and lower 50s under partly cloudy skies. There is a chance of rain Sunday as another Pacific wave moves in.
